Al Ramirez first started visiting LA in 1997. He established a residence in Santa Monica, CA in 2002. He is a veteran telecommunications sales professional who's been active in a variety of technology networking groups delivering cutting edge solutions that helped revolutionize the Internet for businesses and consumers all across America. Al Ramirez is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senator from California in the June 2010 primary elections.

Al Ramirez' Genealogy


Al Ramirez is an American all the way. Both of his parents are Americans. In fact, his family history covers no less than 6 generations of American continental history. He is the great, great grandson of descendents of Spanish colonists who were migrating through what was then the Louisiana Territory.

  • American Born Native of Dallas, Texas with his father's ancestral roots dating to the last Spanish colonists and Native American tribes in Louisiana as well as being of Mexican mestizo heritage
  • Previous bids for public office include a Councilman and a State Legislator bid as the youngest candidate on the ballot both times as an undergraduate student earning a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas
  • Actively living and doing business in California since 1997 and a Los Angeles area resident since 2002
  • 17 year professional career in the telecommunications & technology industry with verifiable highlights of success with major telecommunications companies including AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and Qwest
  • Notable business accomplishments include participating in the preparation of an IPO, deploying a nationwide wireless network and working internationally in Asia with the Samsung Corporation
  • Has served state, local and federal law enforcement agencies by implementing technology to help protect victims rights, insure the due process of law and help prevent new crimes as well as enforce our Immigration laws

  • Citizen of the United States for 9 years
  • At time of election be an inhabitant of the state from which elected
  • Pay a filing fee of 2% of the 1st year salary or 10,000 petition signatures
  • Election Date: November 2, 2010
  • Length of term is 6 years
  • Serves in Washington D.C. - Statewide Office Holder
